Cooper Zeon 2XS set of 4. 235.60R18. They fit the stock wheel size perfectly, and because they're just a tiny hair bigger, it's possible I could see a slight MPG increase as well.

Next to source a set of these for cheap as well:

Need to get new lug nuts and center caps as well.

I'm feeling much better about the wheels now that I've found a much better tire.

Oil change and tire rotation in the morning, spending lots of money in the afternoon to try and make these happen in time for the next large gathering.

Coopers are an upgrade from your current tires? What's on their now, etched stone?! Did you buy them already?

theres three different brands and two different sizes on the car. No I didnt order them yet.

Whats so bad about Coopers? I havent had any trouble with them, and the current set on my neon got me through a very rough winter.

Is this AWD? Because it would seem like 235s would just be a smoke show on any RWD Hemi.

before tirerack, Cooper was the only brand they sold overseas on base for Americans. Every time I bought some and had them installed, I wanted to drive into a tree. They've always been terrible for me.

Good tires are barely a little more, but offer much more in return. I put some Continental ExtremeContactDWS on my BMW and they are fantastic. I used to have some General Altimax RTs on a Grand Cherokee. I highly, highly, highly, recommend those two tires.

No, it's RWD. The stock size is 225. The contact patch with the road is roughly 8 3/4". The 235's increase the contact patch to just over 9.5". Looking around on the LX forums, there are people running the 18x7.5" wheels with up to a 265 tire, but the 265 really fills the wheel well, and between the mushy suspension and the beefy tires, it would rub the inner fender turning, and would hit the upper fender on a lot of bumps.

The 235's are a big upgrade to a lot of people. I would love to even go up to 245s, but there's less available in that size. Over 245/55R18 just looks weird on the car, to be honest. The 235s give me more options, and a nicer tire without really breaking the bank.

Do you have a different suggestion for tires? I'm aiming to keep it on a stock sized wheel.

What was the worst part for you? Was it ride, noise, handling, etc.

I'm open to suggestions still, but I can't say I have bad experiences to sway me from Cooper. I have one general altimax on the car. I know it's a pretty good tire, but only having one is the problem bit. I'll look at tire sizes again, and see if I can get a slightly meatier Altimax before I pull the trigger. I'm not buying the tires until I can order rims the same day. I don't expect them to arrive at the same time, but I'm not putting the new tires on the current wheels, I'm just replacing them at the same time.

Coopers I had always had short lifespan, were noisy, and had terrible traction in anything but dry conditions. Unless they realllllly improved in the last 5 years I've sworn to never buy them again.

Browse tirerack and have the tires sorted by customer review/rating. Start with the highest rated and go down until you find one in your price range. That's probably the best way to buy a tire.

How about a Falken tire? Tire Rack doesn't seem to carry them, but there's a super beefy 245/55R18 that fits. All season as well, so big bonus...Ziex ZE950 tire.
